Experts From Eight Regions Examine Damaged Houses In Kherson Region


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the Kherson region, more than a hundred specialists from eight regions of the country are examining the buildings damaged by the Russians' explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional State Administration, according to Ukrinform.

"The inspection of the houses affected by the "'big water' continues. Currently, 103 specialists from eight regions of Ukraine are working with us in the communities of the region," the report says.

As noted, a total of 1327 flooded buildings have been inspected and 1116 relevant acts have been drawn up. Compensation has already been paid to 174 victims.

15 regions of the country continue to work on the restoration of 26 settlements in the Kherson region. As part of the presidential program "'Side by Side', 147 facilities have already been repaired, and work is currently underway on 127.

As reported, the 'Side by Side' project aims to help to recover the communities in the Kherson region that have been most affected by Russian aggression. 15 regions of Ukraine have united to rebuild 26 settlements in the region.

At night on June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, causing large-scale flooding. A number of settlements in the Kherson region were submerged. The flooding also affected the territories of the Mykolaiv region.
