No Hazardous Substances Exceeded In Dnipro River In Kherson Oblast


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) No exceedance of the maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants was recorded in the Dnipro River in the Kherson region.

The Kherson Regional Environmental Agency reported , according to Ukrinform.

"In the Dnipro, the maximum permissible concentration of substances has not been exceeded. We are talking about the standards for meeting the economic and household needs of the population," the report says.

As emphasized, no oil products were found in the samples taken on July 10. Dissolved oxygen is 5.60 mg/dm3, while the norm is not less than 4.00 mg/dm3. However, there is a 1.7-fold excess of biochemical oxygen consumption.

As reported by Ukrinform, at night on June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, causing large-scale flooding. A number of settlements in the Kherson region were submerged. The flooding also affected the territories of the Mykolaiv region.
