Ardebil Province in Iran Plans to Revive Idle Production Units, Foster Economic Growth


(MENAFN) According to a provincial official, Ardebil province in northwest Iran is set to revive 40 idle production units by the end of the current Iranian calendar year, which concludes on March 20, 2024. Ramin Sadeqi, the head of the province's Industry, Mining and Trade Department, also announced plans to add 200 new units to the province's production and industrial sector this year.

During the previous Iranian calendar year 1401, 43 idle production units were successfully revived in Ardebil province, as stated by Sadeqi. These revitalized units played a vital role in creating employment opportunities for approximately 750 individuals. Sadeqi emphasized the significance of removing production barriers and fostering sustainable employment, as they serve as key factors in ensuring economic development.

With a focus on promoting a production boom and job creation, the Industry, Mining and Trade Department of Ardebil province is actively addressing existing problems and legal obstacles. Through collaboration with various executive bodies, the department aims to eliminate these obstacles and create a conducive environment for business growth. The provincial official highlighted the government's prioritization of production expansion and job creation, which has further motivated the department to tackle these challenges.

Sadeqi revealed that Ardebil province currently houses 1,056 production units, with 91 percent of them actively operating while the remaining nine percent remain stagnant. To drive economic growth, the province recognizes the importance of revitalizing idle units, promoting entrepreneurship, and attracting new investments. By providing support and resources to both existing and new production units, Ardebil province seeks to strengthen its industrial sector, stimulate job opportunities, and contribute to the overall economic prosperity of the region.
