Documentary Film Focusing On The Healing Aspect Of Music Hits The Big Screen

(MENAFN- B2Press) Every day, new documentaries are added to the documentary films that art lovers show great interest in. Director Ömer Safa Umar, who has made a name for himself with international awards and selections, has already attracted attention with his first feature-length documentary, Heartbeat of Tribal Galaxy. The film, which takes a journey into the world of successful musician Ali Ceyhun Kartalsuna living in Miami, also criticizes today's music industry.

TURKEY - The role of music in life, which was used as a kind of elixir to improve people's mental and physical health in the past, is changing day by day. Today's music productions raise many controversial issues. Many people who are closely interested in music say that today's music has caused this art to lose its meaning. Producer and Director Ömer Safa Umar is also bringing his documentary Heartbeat of Tribal Galaxy, which he shot from exactly this point of view, to the big screen. Through the character of Ali, the director emphasizes the healing effect of music in the past. The leading role of the documentary, Ali, disregards the industrial benefits for the musical values he believes in, and mediates the audience to take an intellectual journey.

“A character who believes that people will find the peace they lost through music”

Ömer Safa Umar, who also directed and produced the Heartbeat of Tribal Galaxy documentary, conveys his thoughts on his documentary as follows:“There are millions of Turks living abroad. I was also in America for a period of education. Turks abroad become the subject of completely different stories all over the world. Some migrated, others were born there. These people fulfill the duty of being cultural ambassadors between the world and Turkey, perhaps due to the nature of life. Ali, the main character of this documentary, which is my first feature-length attempt, represents only one of those who brought our rich culture to America. Ali is very talented in music and rhythm, and also teaches one to soothe oneself with silence. As a musician, he re-introduces peace and silence that people who cannot adapt to modern life forget. It builds a shield of silence that preserves the existence of single human beings that the impositions try to crush.”

”The audience will find traces of their inner journey in this documentary”

Talking about the interesting details about the documentary, Producer and Director Ömer Safa Umar said,“Our character is a person we would all like to meet in life. Ali, with whom many world-famous musicians insist on making friends, opens up a space where they don't have to explain themselves to those who come to him in his humble world, and where they rebuild their inner peace. On the other hand, he continues to transform his environment by living at one end of the world as a producer. I am trying to achieve the purpose of this documentary, which I started with the intention of carrying his story to the audience's taste and cultural world with an authentic perspective. Our documentary film will soon appear before the Turkish audience. I am sure that our work, which we have completed after a great effort and a long preparation period, will also be appreciated by the audience.
