Qatar Cancer Society Hosts Annual ‘Hope Iftar’ Event to Provide Support for Cancer Patients

(MENAFN) The Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) recently hosted its annual ‘Hope Iftar’ event in Doha as part of its psychosocial and social support program for people living with cancer. The event was anchored by Iman Al Kaabi and attended by over 300 patients, survivors, and their families, as well as public figures and media personalities. The night was filled with highlights, including the distribution of gifts to children provided by Kiddy Zone and flowers distributed by Floward.
Mona Ashkanani, Director General of QCS, welcomed the attendees at the Iftar and emphasized the society’s mission to prevent cancer and control its burden in Qatar by working with partners to educate the community and support, empower, and advocate for individuals living with cancer. The annual ‘Hope Iftar’ event is one of the many programs launched by QCS to provide psychological and societal support for people living with cancer.
Ashkanani stated that QCS is committed to providing all means of support for people living with cancer, including material, psychological, social, and educational support. The annual ‘Hope Iftar’ event aims to shed light on bright models that have been able to conquer the disease and overcome it. May God give them a new glow full of the love of life.
QCS believes that organizing events like ‘Hope Iftar’ is crucial in providing a supportive community for people living with cancer.
