(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Warsaw will soon hand over another batch of MiG-29 fighter jets to Kyiv. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated this in his speech to the Atlantic Council in Washington, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The transfer of the next batch (of MiG-29s - ed.) is underway," Morawiecki said.
He noted that the Polish Air Force currently has 48 F-16 jets. Allies also support Poland, in particular the USA, which sent F-22s to the Republic of Poland as part of strengthening NATO's eastern flank.
He reminded that next year Poland will receive F-35 multi-purpose fighter jets from the United States. Therefore, according to him, Poland no longer needs MiG-29 jets.
