Haidan Claims Small Tour Win At Longines Hathab

Mohammed Saeed Haidan on Friday prevailed in the Small Tour round as the Qatari rider guided his favourite mare Miss Chili in a flawless routine to win the penultimate round of the sixth season of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour.
Mohammed and the 15-year-old Miss Chili completed the task in 51.41 secs to bag the top prize of the day, worth QR5,000.
Meanwhile, Jerlin, with Hussain Saeed Haidan in the saddle, spent 53.19 secs to complete the same task as the duo went on to win the second place which also offered QR4,000 in prize money.
Khalifa Abdulla Al Khaldi came third after his ride of the day, 20-year-old bay gelding Graffiti De Lully CH completed the round in 53.30 secs. Al Khaldi got richer by QR3,000.
Sultan Salem Badi Al Naemi and Higgs came fourth in 54.93 secs while Destiny 297 – ridden by Mohammed Dhafi Al Marri, following a routine that lasted for 56.04 secs, rounded up the top five in the event which saw a whopping 71 entries at the Longines Outdoor Arena at Al Shaqab.
The Medium Tour class was won by Salmeen Sultan Al-Suwaidi, with Mohamed Saeed Haidan taking second spot and Faleh Suwead Al Ajmi third.
