Beirut, Mar 11 (Petra) -- Lebanon on Saturday welcomed the Saudi-Iranian agreement on resuming diplomatic relations.
Lebanon lauded the agreement as a 'glimmer of hope' that the region needs to preserve its present and forge its prosperous and stable future.
'We count on the wisdom of Saudi-Iranian leaderships, to continue to make every sincere effort to open a new page that opens exemplary, solid and optimal relations between Iran and all the Arab neighboring countries on the basis of mutual respect for the sovereignty and independence of all countries,' Lebanese Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri said.
