Doha, Jan. 26 (Petra)--Jordan's Ambassador to Doha, Zaid Muflih Lowzi, said His Majesty King Abdullah II's summit with Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, reflects the 'deep-rooted, historic' Jordanian-Qatari relations and affirms the two leaderships' continued coordination on bilateral ties and regional and world issues.
Lowzi, in press remarks on Thursday, said the King's visit to Doha gains its importance due to the region's current 'sensitive' circumstances, which require consultation and cooperation to face various challenges.
Lozi also noted Jordanian-Qatari summit, which was held Wednesday, carries 'important' messages, as it confirms momentum of the 'close' bilateral relations, which have always remained 'solid and historic.'
In addition, he said the summit embodies the two countries' direct and continuous coordination on Arab and Islamic issues, adding that mutual visits at the leadership level reflect the 'solid' relations that are witnessing continued development.
The two leaders are keen to improve and strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, as Doha and Amman seek to achieve regional security and stability and play 'pioneering' roles in defending the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people by establishing their independent state on June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, Lozi pointed out.
Jordan, he noted, 'highly' appreciates Qatar's continuous support for Hashemite Custodianship over occupied Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites.
Bilateral relations are 'remarkably' prosperous, thanks to the mutual desire to push them to 'broader' horizons to achieve the two people's hopes and aspirations, according to Lozi.
