(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Somali Defense Ministry affirmed on Thursday that 49 'terrorists' of Al-Shabab Militia were killed in a planned operation at Dhagahow village, in the Middle Shabelle region.
The planned operation was carried out by the security forces and the national intelligence with the national army and the resistance, Somali National News Agency (SONNA) quoted Spokesman of the Defense Ministry General Abdullahi Ali Anod as saying
He added that the military operation against the 'terrorists' is continuing in the country's provinces.
The national army, in cooperation with the resistance, seeks to liberate areas controlled by Al-Shabab Militia to restore security and stability throughout the country. (end)
