Arab Human Rights Cmte. Urges Ending Violations Against Palestinians


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- The Arab League Human Rights Committee (the Charter Committee) on Sunday called on the international community to confront the grave violations against Palestinian people by the occupying power (Israel) and help Palestinians exercise their right to self-determination.
Marking the 74th Human Rights Day, the committee said in a statement that the Arab action system with all different tools is still protecting and enhancing human rights.
It added that it puts its efforts and potential, in cooperation with regional and international mechanisms, to achieve this goal.
It expressed pride for what has been achieved over the past years in this regard, adding that this inspires it to do more for Palestinians.
The committee stressed that international and regional mechanism continue their work as supportive tools for the countries' efforts to enhance human dignity, the statement stated. (end)
