Iran, EAEU to sign FTA during this month


(MENAFN) Mir-Hadi Seyedi, Iran’s head representative in free exchange deal (FTA) discussions with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as stated by the FTA agreement is estimated to be inked by the officials of the two nations in Tehran in the last days of the present Iranian calendar month Azar (closes on December 21).

As said by Seyedi, the agreement will be inked by the Eurasian Economic Community (EEC)’s Minister in control of economy and financial strategy as well as the chief of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO).

TPO Head Peyman-Pak stated previously that the list of goods to be involved in the FTA among Iran and EAEU states is forecasted to be inked this month.

“The export items to be included in free trade between Iran and the EAEU states have been almost decided upon,” he mentioned.

The representatives noted that the FTA is estimated to involve a zero tariff for 90 percent of goods traded among Iran as well as the five-member bloc.
