David Pflugi, a renowned Swiss artist, is creating large-scale artworks representing Qatar, with one measuring over 4 meters in width, titled 'The Urge to Win.' David has created well-known artworks for the different world cup tournaments since 1998. The ones he is working on now are specially created for Qatar. As you walk around one of his art pieces it transforms into a flower, a football, a traditional Qatari boat on waves, a flame, and the world cup trophy. It's all about your perspective. This magical piece is being painted every day at The Club Suisse Doha, along with other extraordinary art pieces. You might even be able to watch David in the middle of his masterpiece as he is present at The Club on most days.
The Club Suisse Doha is being transformed, day in, day out, into a mystical work of art by David Pflugi. Once it is ready, at the end of the tournament, the art piece will be transported to be signed by the stars of the seasonon the 12th of December in front of the Club Suisse Doha.
More exciting news, The Club Suisse Doha will also host various live performances, such as traditional Swiss Folki music by“Geschwister Rymann” (Rymann Siblings). The free event is open to all from December 8-11 live at the Club Suisse Doha.
Swiss Folk music is a phenomenal combination of alphorn music, Ländler music, and yodeling. If you haven't heard it before, you're truly missing out.
