GCC Chief Affirms Support To Intl. Efforts To Achieve Security, Stability In Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf affirmed support for international efforts to extend the armistice and cease-fire in Yemen, and to reach a comprehensive Political solution to the Yemeni crisis to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
This came during a meeting attended by Dr. Al-Hajraf, the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, and the General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen, Ambassador Mohammad Al Jaber at the General Secretariat in Riyadh, a statement by the secretariat said.
Al-Hajraf reaffirmed the firm position of the Gulf council in supporting all efforts that would guarantee security and stability in Yemen and support the efforts of the Yemeni legitimate government.
He appreciated the great efforts made by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in implementing a number of development and relief projects to help Yemeni people. (end)
