LONDON — The UK's number one selling premium gin brand, Whitley Neill, has appointed Splendid Communications as its lead agency to work across PR and social media, after a competitive pitch.

Splendid will lead the brand's press office and reactive news programme, as well as developing PR campaigns for key commercial moments for its range of artisanal gins, distilled in London. The agency is also planning a three-year evolution of the brand's presence and visual identity across social platforms, while handling social content creation and reactive cultural content.

The agency's first piece of work has been supporting the launch of Whitley Neill's new 0.0% zero alcohol range through an integrated PR and social campaign, as well as the brand's Christmas campaign.

Rachel Adams, the marketing director of Whitley Neill owner Halewood Artisanal Spirits, said:“We selected Splendid Communications as we were not only impressed by their strategic and creative thinking and their proven track record in the drinks sector, but also by company values that clearly align with ours.”

Splendid Communications CEO Alec Samways added:“Working with Whitely Neill is a superb opportunity for us. The brand has bucked gin category trends and shown incredible growth thanks to eye-catching pack design and innovative flavours; in other words, by having
an excellent product.”
