AMMAN, Nov 14 (KUNA) -- Olive trees growers have been flocking to the nearest squwissers for squeezing their harvests.
Olive trees grow in 20 percent of the cultivated lands and account to 75 percent of trees in the kingdom. A tree produces some 30 tons of olive oil per year, sufficient for the local market with some surplus for exportation.
Olive trees are abundant in central and northern regions. They secure income for a large number of families. (end)
