Kuwait Al-Tomooh Club Participates In Int'l Tourney In Portugal


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 15 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Tomooh Sports Club for Mental Disabilities is partaking in the World Down's Syndrome Swimming Championship in Portugal with participation of swimmers from 20 countries.
Rehab Bouresli, the club chairperson, said in a statement to KUNA upon departure of the club delegation that the Kuwaiti swimmers had successfully finished intensive training for 5-100 m competitions.
The competitions in Portugal, scheduled on October 15-23, involve various swimming categories.
She revealed that the club would take part in track and field and equestrian tournament, due in Egypt in November, and the international Olympic Games scheduled in June 2023.
Hanan Al-Zaid, the club assistant, told KUNA that the national swimmers had undergone two months of rigorous training that noticeably sharpened their skills, hoping they would make good results in the competitions in Portugal.
The three participating Kuwaiti swimming champions are Mohammad Al-Nibari, Mohammad Al-Turkait and Meshal Al-Bader. (end)
