Cattle Distributed To Households In Deir Alla Distrcit To Help Countryside Empowerment

Deir Alla, Oct. 12 (Petra) - The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) and Ministry of Agriculture distributed a number of livestock heads to households in Deir Alla district in central Balqa governorate.
AOAD Director of Eastern Regional Office, Fida'a Rawabdeh, said this initiative came in line with the organization's strategy for sustainable Arab agricultural development 2030, in cooperation with Ministry of Agriculture, aimed to developing Arab countryside and pushing capabilities to adapt to environmental, economic and societal changes related to the agricultural sector.
In a statement to 'Petra' on Wednesday, she noted the initiative included distribution of 32 cattle heads under AOAD's goat breeding project in Deir Alla area to contribute to providing sustainable income for the targeted households.
The project, which was established by AOAD in Deir Alla in 2012, distributed 150 cattle heads and launched enterprises to produce honey and improve olive oil harvesting.
