Five-Day Indian Food Festival At Pan Pacific Sonargaon From October 1

Dhaka: Iconic five-star hospitality property in the city, the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, will host a five-day Indian Food Festival at their signature restaurant Cafe Bazar from October 1.

The festival will feature an array of tantalising Indian Cuisine for food lovers.

The hotel arranged a press meet on September 29, to announce various features of the upcoming food festival. Dr Md Aminur Rahman, Managing Director of Hotels International Limited and Robin James Edwards, General Manager, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, interacted with media among others.

“Our iconic hotel serves many cuisines but we prioritise Indian. We welcome plenty of Indian guests from abroad. Also, we have a large domestic clientele who love Indian food too. Therefore, we are arranging such one-of-a-kind Indian food festival to cater to the tastebuds of our domestic guests and foreigners alike,” said Dr Md Aminur Rahman, Managing Director, Hotels International Ltd, in his speech.

Robin James Edwards, General Manager, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, said,“We are holding this festival to bring diversity of cuisine to the marketplace. Also, it will coincide with the Durga Puja festival as a warm gesture to the local Hindu community.”

Saloni Sahai, First Secretary (Head of Chancery, and Political), Indian High Commission in Dhaka will formally inaugurate the festival at 6.30 pm at Cafe Bazar restaurant on October 1.

The food festival will remain open from 6:30- 10:30 every day till October 5.

Guests besides being indulged in Indian delicacies will be able to enjoy live music performances by popular artists. The food menu will include Punjabi Chawa Masala, Fish Tikka Amristra, Nag Puri Saji Mutton, Dohi Lasoni Chicken, Hyderabadi Mutton Biriyani, Chicken Banjara Kabab, Gujrati Daw Masala, Aloo Methi Masala, Paneer Makhani, Dosa, Sambar and Paw Bhaji among many others. Specialist chef Johir Khan, Jahirul Islam, and Govinda Karati will prepare dishes for the food fest.

It may be mentioned here that the festival will feature six live cooking stations to entertain the guests with culinary arts.

Another attraction of the festival will be a raffle draw for guests with exciting prizes.

The cost per person has been fixed at BDT 5,500.00 (all inclusive). Buy One Get One (BOGO) offer will be available on payment by select cards. They have partnered with 16 banks for this purpose.
