(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Russia should not be part of the UN Security Council, let alone have a veto right in the body.
That's according to Sir Roger Dale, Member of the British House of Commons, who spoke with , Ukrinform reports.
“It seems to me completely incongruous that an aggressor state, in this case – Russian Federation, can be a member of the UN Security Council and therefore have a veto right,” MP said.
“But that said I am not clear what the process is legally in international law. Because we are doing a by international law even when Russians don't, when the process is legally to exclude them from the Security Council given that they are members. I think the position is incongruous and untenable but how to change it is a different matter altogether,” the lawmaker stressed.

Also, on September 23, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said his country stood for abolishing the veto in the UNSC system.
