Recently Tech. industry Analyst, 5Jewels Research estimated that Global High-Tech. Trade worth 7 (Seven) Trillion USD is under risk of disruption due to recent China-Taiwan conflicts, now its Chief Analyst Sumant Parimal is for $2 Trillion investments in High Tech. capacity buildup outside China sea conflict areas to de-risk Supply Chain of High Tech. goods. Analyst Sumant Parimal believes that Covid-19 was trigger for new investments from manufactures and new incentives from various Governments in semiconductor space in America, Europe, and Asia, but recent China-Taiwan conflict is going to be trigger point for new investments and incentives for manufacturing capacity creation for other High Tech. sectors like electronics, computers, robotics, intelligent automation & instrumentation, electro-mechanical & biomedical devices, photonics, navigation & communication and several other high-tech devices, components, and equipment.
“Globally over a half trillion USD investments are in pipeline for creating new capacities in Semiconductor and Electronic Chip sector with utmost urgency to end semiconductor shortages globally, similar urgent investments and incentives to the tune of two trillion USD are required for other High Tech. sectors in geographies like America, Europe and South Asia , which are reeling under sever High Tech supply chain disruption risks due to recent China –Taiwan conflicts” said Sumant Parimal in his press statement.
Global Tech. industry analyst Sumant Parimal also believes that recent passes of the CHIPS and Science Act by USA is just a beginning step to de-risk High-Tech supply chain particularly Semiconductors, but it is required that scope of American CHIPS and Science Act need to be widened for other High-Tech sectors like Robotics, Computing, electro-mechanical & biomedical devices, navigation & communication devices, and other high-tech. engineering devices & equipment. Analyst Sumant Parimal further states that to incorporate mitigation for recent High Tech. supply risks induced by China-Taiwan conflicts, scope as well as incentives under the CHIPS and Science Act to be at least doubled from present $52B ($52B is for semiconductors) for encouraging manufacturing capacity addition in America in other High-Tech. sectors beyond semiconductors.
