Iran-US nuclear arrangement meetings to take place in Qatar

(MENAFN) Qatar is almost certainly set to hold the next meetings among Iran and the US, mediated by the European Union, to end the remaining gaps in works to retrieve the 2015 nuclear agreement.

Nour News, joined with Iran's top security body, stated in an announcement released on Twitter on Sunday that Doha has a 'better chance' of hosting the upcoming meetings than other Gulf nations, due to its “ongoing efforts to resume talks on lifting sanctions.”

It comes soon after Iran and the EU accepted to break a three-month deadlock in the Vienna nuclear discussions, after EU foreign policy head Josep Borrell's conferences in Tehran with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in addition to the chief of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkani.

In a presser following the run of talks, the head EU diplomat declared that the next round of meetings is going to take place in the near future in a Persian Gulf nation, as it is going to be held in a format different from the Vienna meetings.
