One fatality due to Chinese fighter plane falls into buildings


(MENAFN) According to media accounts, the pilot successfully escaped from the J-7 fighter jet before the out-of-control aircraft slammed into a building in the Xiangyang province of Hubei, putting surrounding buildings on fire.

On Thursday, June 9th, a Chinese fighter plane crashed into buildings in central China's Hubei province, killing one and injuring at least two others.

The accident started a fire that devoured nearby residences, causing dread and terror across the neighborhood.

According to media accounts, the pilot successfully escaped from the J-7 fighter jet before the out-of-control aircraft slammed into a building in the Xiangyang province of Hubei, putting surrounding buildings on fire.

The crash happened near Xiangyang's Laohekou airfield, which is largely used to train new fighter pilots for the Chinese air force.
