Amman, May 8 (Petra)--Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), Dr. Mohammad Thneibat, and the Brazil's Agriculture Minister Marcos Montes, discussed joint cooperation opportunities aimed to meet the Brazilian market's growing needs of various phosphate fertilizers and raw phosphate.
The remarks came during Montes's visit on Sunday, to the JPMC headquarters, to discuss ways to develop Jordanian-Brazilian cooperation relations in various fields, to serve common interests, according to a company statement.
During the meeting, Thneibat affirmed the JPMC's readiness to increase its exports to Brazil, to contribute to the success of Brazil's national fertilizers plan, based on the company's technical and human capabilities in this field.
Thneibat said the two sides agreed to organize a specialized Brazilian team's visit to the JPMC to launch a cooperation formula, leading to 'fruitful' partnerships aimed to enhance joint cooperation relations.
In addition, he affirmed the JPMC's readiness to meet the Brazilian market's needs of phosphate and phosphate fertilizers of various kinds, launch 'fruitful' cooperation with the concerned Brazilian companies, and establish some joint industries between the two sides in Jordan and Brazil.
Thneibat presented the JPMC'S achievements in terms of production and export operations, its plans, development stages and future projects.
The JPMC, he noted, has 'distinguished' partnership relations with a number of international companies specialized in the phosphate production and export and manufacturing phosphate fertilizers and phosphoric acid.
Thneibat also referred to the Jordanian experience in the joint industries of JPMC in India and Indonesia.
