190K Visitors To Jordan's Archaeological And Tourist Sites During Eid Al-Fitr- Says Official

Amman, May 5 (Petra)-- Jordan's archaeological and tourist sites have received about 190 thousand local, Arab and foreign visitors during Eid al-Fitr vacation.
Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Spokesperson Ahmad al-Rifae told Petra that Jordan has witnessed active tourist movement during the vacation, noting that the ministry has put in place a plan included organizing field tours and shifts for its cadres.
The ministry prepared shift programs in archaeological and public sites, and set up a suitable tourist environment to receive guests and visitors, al-Rifae said, noting that the competent authorities are fully prepared to provide services to tourists and visitors during their stay.
The measures, taken by the government, to ease Covid-related restrictions and readjusting protocols have positively affected the tourism sector, al-Rifae added.
