Phones, Computers Of Ukrainians Targeted By Russian Hackers

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Russian invaders are trying to gain access to personal data and Ukraine's public registers through private computers and mobile phones.

Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine Yurii Shchyhol addressed the issue during a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center.

“Access to phones and private computers is one of the vectors of their attacks. They have been attempting to obtain personal data, passwords, and access to state registers through private applications that you use,” Yurii Shchyhol said.

He called on Ukrainians to follow the rules of cyber hygiene and use as many means of authentication on their phones as possible.

The official also noted that the intensity of recent enemy cyberattacks has significantly decreased. The State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine attributes this to the fact that Russia is now looking into about protecting its own infrastructure from outside hackers.

Russia's cyber attacks have targeted all government agencies, but the invaders are most interested in logistics, transport, and energy sectors.

According to the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, 430 cyberattacks were launched against Ukraine in two months.
