French vessel hits oil tanker in Algeria

(MENAFN) French vessel 'Corsica Linea' hit tanker of Algeria's Naftal Establishment after captain lost control of his ship.

The tanker’s owner stated that a traveler ship collided with an oil tanker in the Port of Algiers.

Algeria's National Company for Marketing and Distribution of Petroleum Products (Naftal) declared in an announcement, "The cruise ship named 'Corsica Linea' belonging to the French company Nicoli collided with an oil tanker of the Naftal Company which was anchored in Algiers port as the captain of the ship lost control.”

It stated that in line with the early probes done by Naftal's destruction specialists following the accident, which occurred on April 6, some damage happened to the outside tools of the oil tanker.

The destruction to the tanker will not stop it from sailing until the insurance measures are finished, Naftal’s also stated.
