Doha: Ministry of Municipality has launched a campaign yesterday to remove abandoned vehicles in Al Rayan Municipality.
The Ministry tweeted that“the drive is part of the ministry's efforts to reduce this phenomenon that distorts the aesthetic view of the country.”

It is also an implementation of Law No. (18) of 2017 regarding public hygiene, in addition to the health and environmental damage it causes.
Warning stickers have been issued to abandoned vehicles giving a three-day grace period to the owners to remove their vehicles.

The campaign was implemented by the State's Abandoned Vehicles Removal Committee, the Mechanical Equipment Department, and the General Cleanliness Department, in cooperation with Al Rayan Municipality and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).

Leaving the abandoned car in public areas hinders the development process, plans and strategic projects, said officials from the ministry calling on motorists to cooperate with the authorities concerned to accomplish this work in order to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the country.
