* Zengo will be officially welcoming back guests from February 1 Zengo Doha, the award-winning renowned pan-Asian restaurant by celebrity chef Richard Sandoval, has reimagined its dining space to complement the restaurant's fusion cuisine and striking decor. Zengo has announced the reopening of its doors officially to guests on February 1 for both lunch and dinner with a fresh new look and just in time for the Chinese New Year celebration that will be taking place until February 6.
Entering Zengo, guests will find the seating area stretched along the entire windows of the 61st floor, where the 'impressive Doha skyline becomes the backdrop, offering an expressive and picturesque dining experience', a press statement notes. With this renovated space, all tables are situated closer to the windows. Guests can expect marvellous views accompanied with their dining experience.
The sushi bar has been removed and relocated to another part of the restaurant and greeneries fill up the space at the entrance and all around the restaurant area, giving Zengo a fresh new look, sealed with a cosy ambiance.
Guests will find their senses tantalised by the fragrance and subtle artful blend of Asian flavours. Not only did chef Sandoval reinvent the design of Zengo, but also its menu, which ranges from carefully crafted sushi to mouth-watering infused dishes focusing on Pan-Asian flavours. Zengo Doha introduces an innovative and creative menu with bursting flavours and unique tastes, through several dishes, while keeping the favourites on the menu, such as the Cereal Prawns - Crispy Singaporean style prawns with chipotle aioli. Each dish is created to perfection with contrasting texture and colours. Beginning with the cold starters section, one can find the Dragon Toro tartar and
Wagyu Beef Tataki. Moving on to the hot starters, the Cod and Prawn Gyoza is an absolute star, which includes Edamame, Bonito flakes and Ponzu butter.
Guests can find on the menu three choices of Udon Noodles, a staple in Japanese cuisine and culture, and everyone's favourite. Udons vary between prawns, chicken and beef. The Tenderloin Zengo Signature, from the grill, shines in the spotlight served with pure parsnip coconut, grilled vegetables and yakitori sauce.
Finally, in the dessert section, one's taste buds will surely enjoy the Yuzu Cheesecake with apple jam, black sesame sponge and mango gel. The second item is the Honeycomb Cake served with honey ice cream and honeycomb caramel, a true pleasure and celebration for the senses.
'Enjoy the sun and beautiful weather all the way from the top, with a glamorous surrounding, stunning views and warm ambiance,' the statement adds.
Zengo will be officially welcoming back guests on February 1, from 12noon to 4pm, for their business lunch, for Zunzet experience from 5pm to 7pm and for dinner until midnight. The Chinese New Year will be celebrated from February 1 to 6, from 6pm to 11pm, through a special set menu. Located at the Kempinski Residences and Suites, Doha, on the 61st floor, Zengo opens every Sunday to Friday, from 12noon until midnight.
