Thriller films in Qatari cinema this week

Thriller films are at the forefront of Qatari cinema this week, as well as action films, science fiction, horror and animation for children and family, starring a host of international film stars. Among the films screened this week, the action and thriller film 'Fortress', which is about a group of criminals hellbent on revenge, forces a retired officer and his son to save the day, starring Bruce Willis, Chad Michael Murray, Jesse Metcalfe and directed by James Cullen Bressack.
Thriller and science-fiction 'Zone 414' will also be screened. Zone 414 is set in the near future in a colony of state-of-the-art humanoid robots; the founder of Zone 414 Joseph hires private investigator David Carmichael to bring his daughter home. The film is directed by Andrew Baird and stars Guy Pearce, Travis Fimmel and Matilda Anna.
New films include thriller and horror film 'War Hunt', which is about a US Army plane flying over Germany's Black Forest in 1945. The plane is suddenly enveloped by a swarm of crow feathers. As the aircraft plummets toward the ground, the airmen glimpse the feathers converging to form a mysterious woman in black.
As for the animation films for children and family. 'C I Ape' is set in the world of espionage where some missions require an agent with a unique set of skills. The film is directed by Ali Zamani, starring Sophia Alongi, Skip Schwink and Madelyn Kientz.
