Turkey tackles technical issues regarding gas flow from Iran

(MENAFN) According to the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez statement announced late on Monday, the country is dealing with the natural gas flow issue stemming from Iran because of technical difficulties.

Iran had verified that it would not supply natural gas to Turkey between Jan. 21 and 31 because of a technical failure. In response, Donmez stated that maintenance groups have been employed to tackle the issue and guarantee that materials are not badly impacted.

Donmez confirmed in a TV program on Haber Turk on Monday night, that the Iranian providers changed the movement on Jan. 21 after a leakage on the Iranian gas network.

The official stated, “we have been facing this problem now for three days. Our priority is supplying households and workplaces, especially office spaces, as we do not want them to be without gas in these cold winter conditions."
