Turkish Erdogan pays visit to Qatar


(MENAFN) Turkish Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan reached Qatar for working visit, and was welcomed at Hammad International Airport by Qatari Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan, and other officials.

The Turkish president, while talking to journalists at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul ahead of his leaving, stated that he is going to Qatar to join the seventh conference of the Supreme Strategic Committee amid both nations due to the invite of Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Erdogan added that ties amid his country and Qatar are going to carry on in order to improve in a "much more productive way."
