Turkish president: Turkey wants to improve bonds with every Gulf country


(MENAFN) Before an official visit to Qatar, Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced Turkey prefers to support unity and harmony with the Gulf states, and improve relations.

He added by informing journalists at Ataturk Airport ahead of departing Istanbul for the capital Doha, Turkey-Qatar bonds are going to keep in a "much more productive way."

He also affirmed Turkish businessmen started USD15 billion work in Qatar, while underlining the vital of further collaboration with Doha, and noted "In addition to Qatar, we are trying to improve our cooperation with other countries in the Gulf."

Erdogan went on to emphasize "We welcome the diplomatic efforts to reopen dialogue channels and clear up misunderstandings in the Gulf region."
