International Parliamentarians meet in Ankara to stand with Jerusalem


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, members of the parliament of 50 nations from all around the globe met in Turkey’s capital Ankara to stand with the Palestinian conflict and the conquered city of Jerusalem.

Planned by the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, an NGO, the meeting was joined by parliamentarians from Turkey, Arab as well as African nations along with lawmakers from Europe and South America.

Hameid al-Ahmar, Yemeni MP who leads the pro-Jerusalem group, stated in his opening speech that the occasion is organized under the title “Jerusalem is Our Red Line."

He also mentioned, "this conference aims at proposing ideas to institutionalizing our efforts to serve the Palestinian cause," al-Ahmar added. “We have gathered here today to mobilize a relentless support to serve the struggle of the Palestinian people.”
