Qatar - Katara Dhow Festival begins from Tuesday


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The 11th edition of Katara Dhow Festival will be held from Tuesday, November 30, 2021 to December 18, 2021 at Katara beach.
The countries which will participate in the 11the edition are Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Greece, Zanzibar, Turkey and India. The festival includes a variety of competitions and activities.


This edition of the festival will be different compared to the previous editions, the organisers said. The participating countries will have their stalls in the festival, in addition to other entities like Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Municipality among others.
The festival will also present more than 85 handicrafts from Qatar, and about 100 from Oman, all of which represents the maritime heritage of the Gulf countries.


The festival will also see several competitions and marine shows, besides various cultural activities and events that reflect the heritage and shed light on the ancient maritime history aimed at restoring culture and folk heritage.
