SSOC announces readiness for FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021

Doha: The Security and Safety Operations Committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 (SSOC) has confirmed its fully prepared and readiness for the FIFA Arab Cup 2021.

Chairman of the Committee Major General Engineer Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Ansari said that it is an opportunity to further evaluate performance and measure readiness in accordance with international standards.

He also noted that the work of the units began some time ago before the football teams arrived, as well as with the work of the centers for issuing permits and fan cards.

The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 will start on November 30 with the participation of 16 Arab teams.

Al Ansari explained that the security plans require the protection of fans and to offer maximum security and comfort for all teams participating in the tournament, as well as protection of information infrastructure and communication systems, and work to facilitate traffic and smooth flow of cars and other tasks assigned to the committee and its units.

For example, he said with the start of the first match of the tournament, all security units will be in their respective locations, whether on the roads leading to the stadiums or in the areas adjacent to them or inside them for the sake of security, and to reduce crowding, whether at the entrance and exit gates of the fans or on the roads leading to the stadiums.

He revealed that the entrance gates for the fans will open three hours before the start of any match and urged fans to not be late in order to avoid crowding and to ensure smooth access to their seats.
