Turkey vacates 41 residents from S. Africa caused by Omicron virus


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Turkey’s Airlines started withdrawal flights from South Africa as a consequence of the Omicron strain of the coronavirus following the application of travel measures on South Africa.

An anonymous source in the airline informed Anadolu Agency, 41 travelers had been expatriated in flights from South Africa’s major two cities, Cape Town and Johannesburg, to Turkey’s capital Istanbul.

Travelers are going to be quarantined for 2 weeks irrespective of their inoculation conditions or latest contagion with the virus, and a negative PCR test is needed to stop quarantine in places selected by Turkish governorate.

Turkish Airlines flights would be the last from South Africa to Turkey until such time as, Turkey’s Delegation in Pretoria tweeted.
