Ukraine - Banks issued UAH 987M of loans under Affordable Mortgage program


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Some 1,135 loan agreements have been already signed for a total sum of UAH 987.06 million under the government program“Affordable Mortgage at 7%”, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Finance Ministry's press service.

“As of November 25 of the current year, the authorized banks signed 1,135 loan agreements worth UAH 987.06 million under the government program 'Affordable Mortgage at 7%', both on the primary (24.46%) and secondary (75.54%) markets,” reads the report.

In general, banks have received 1,573 loan applications worth UAH 1,382.6 million (25.02% on the primary market and 74.98% on the secondary market).

Twenty-four regions and the city of Kyiv have been involved in this program. Last week most active borrowers were registered in the city of Kyiv (33.10%), Kyiv region (31.46%), Lviv region (6.47%), Kharkiv region (6.06%), and Volyn region (3.86%).

As reported by Ukrinform, the government program“Affordable Mortgage at 7%” was launched at the initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 1, 2021.
