Oxford Business Group Relaunches Operations in Abu Dhabi

(MENAFN- Oxford Business Group) New report to chart emirate’s growth story as efforts to diversify the economy deliver results

Abu Dhabi, November 2021: Oxford Business Group (OBG) has appointed Yeliz Tugce as Country Director for Abu Dhabi in preparation for the publication of its first post-Covid-19 report on the emirate’s economy.

In her new role, Tugce will oversee the relaunch of OBG’s operations in the emirate, including the on-the-ground research and gathering of business intelligence for The Report: Abu Dhabi 2022 and other content.

Tugce moves into her new post following spells with OBG in Kuwait, Malaysia and Qatar. A Psychology graduate, she has held several senior roles within the group’s advisory and research divisions, having previously worked in the oil industry and investment banking.

Tugce said she was delighted to be overseeing OBG’s return to Abu Dhabi, which, she added, came against a backdrop of rising FDI levels and heightened investor interest in the emirate, despite the challenging global economic environment.

“Abu Dhabi has retained its status as a key investment destination, thanks to strong fundamentals and a robust response to both the Covid-19 pandemic and lower global oil prices,” she said. “With efforts to enhance the business environment and diversify the economy already delivering results, we look forward to charting the next phase of the emirate’s growth story, which is expected to see further non-oil expansion in high-growth-potential industries, including advanced manufacturing, financial services, ICT and green-tech.”

The Report: Abu Dhabi 2022 will mark the culmination of several months of field research by a team of analysts from Oxford Business Group. The publication will assess trends and developments across the economic sectors, including those in macroeconomics, infrastructure, banking and others. It will be available online and in print.

The report forms part of OBG’s extensive suite of products which also includes other essential research tools, including its highly regarded country-specific Growth and Recovery Outlook articles and interviews.
