Amir chairs third meeting of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment in 2021


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Amir H H sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and investment (SCEAI), chaired the Council's third meeting in 2021 at the Amiri Diwan, this morning.

Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies the members of the Council.

The Council reviewed the decisions and recommendations made in the second meeting, and the project follow-up report. The council also discussed the country's economic priorities and took appropriate decisions on them. 

The Council was briefed on the presentation on development plans and challenges related to the tourism sector, and the presentation on the banking sector in the country, its challenges and development mechanisms.

The Council was also briefed on the developments of the second national development strategy 2018-2022.

The council also dealt with the topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions.
