Kuwait may permit foreigners full ownership of companies


(MENAFN) In a move to attract more investments and improve the economy, Kuwait may permit foreigners full ownership of companies.

Deputy director general for investment operations at Kuwait’s Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Abdullah Al-Sabah, emphasized the possibility of such a step.

During the past five years Kuwait achieved to attract 1 billion dinars (USD3.3 billion) value of investments in different sectors especially technology, health and procurement, Al-Sabah further declared.

The authority plans for the establishment of four border economic zones to promote foreign direct investments, the official added.
