Laschet: Leftist German administration may trigger economic disaster

(MENAFN) The German conservative chancellor applicant, Armin Laschet, rang a bell of a possible left-wing union administration following the polls, saying that it could trigger financial disaster in Germany and Europe.

He announced “A red-red-green coalition would plunge us into an economic crisis,” and mentioned a possible alliance amid the Social Democrats, the Greens, in addition to the anti-capitalist Left Party.

Laschet stated during a meeting of his party in the northeastern state of Saarland that his Social Democrat rival Olaf Scholz is going to attempt creating a left-wing union administration, whether his party, the Greens, and the Left Party get adequate ballots in polls on Sunday.

Laschet also cautioned “That would weaken us in Europe that would weaken us in terms of our relations with France. … That would weaken us in the world, also in terms of our economy, as well as domestic security.”
