Doha - The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain HE Pedro Sanchez Perez on Wednesday evening.
During the phone call, HH the Amir expressed the State of Qatar's solidarity with the Kingdom of Spain after the lava that flowed on the Spanish island of La Palma, and Qatar's support in the wake of this disaster.
The phone call also touched on cooperation ties between the two countries and prospects for promoting them, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, mainly in Afghanistan.
In this context, HE the Spanish Prime Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the role of the State of Qatar and its effective contribution to the evacuation of Spanish nationals, and its efforts in supporting the peace process in Afghanistan.
