Tragedy movie "Cloudy Mountain" tops Chinese box office


(MENAFN) On Monday, Sep. 20 numbers from the China Movie Data Information Network presented, local tragedy movie "Cloudy Mountain" peaked the Chinese mainland box office on Sunday, Sep. 19.

The movie, which resembles a father-and-son duo's trip to rescue a freshly-constructed channel and a town that has 160,000 people from the danger of natural disasters, produced USD10.38 million on the third day of broadcasting.

On Sunday, which is the first day of broadcasting, the groundbreaking film was followed by the Chinese drama film "All About My Mother," which produced about USD3, 78 million.

An additional Chinese movie called "To Be With You" on its first launch levelled third with a daily box office income of USD2, 65 million.
