'Gaza 68' field hospital opens to patients


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sep. 19 (Petra) -- The medical crew of the Jordanian field hospital "Gaza 68" began Sunday receiving patients from the Gaza Strip and providing medical services in an effort to alleviate suffering and pain.
Hospital Force Commander, Col. Zakaria Abu Khait, said: "Under royal directives and in implementation of the Jordanian humanitarian and medical mission towards families in the Gaza Strip, the medical teams began to receive patients and provide top-notch treatment services." A full cadre of doctors, nurses and technicians is available to provide the best for Gazans, he added.
Hospital Director, Lt. Col. Muhammad Juma, indicated that the medical, nursing and technical staff have, since Day One, treated hundreds of patients through specialized clinics that carry out their humanitarian duty towards the people in Gaza Strip. The personnel have worked around the clock, he noted, to provide medical and treatment service and the necessary health care, as well as perform surgeries.
