Turkish FM expresses condolences to Philippines after Typhoon Jolina kills over 17 people


(MENAFN) Turkey expressed its condolences to the Philippines after Typhoon Jolina hit the country, leaving more than 17 deaths.

The Foreign Ministry stated that "We are saddened to learn that Typhoon Jolina (Conson), which hit the Philippines, has caused the loss of many lives, injuries as well as material damage."

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of the Philippines showed that twenty-four people were wounded as seven are still lost.

The ministry also stated that "We extend our heartfelt condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives as well as to the friendly people and government of the Philippines and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
