CAIRO, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Arab Labor Organization (ALO) chief Fayez Al-Mutairi said Sunday Arab governments have strived to ease out the aftershocks of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic through firm measures, incentive programs and job and business support.
Addressing the 47th version of the Arab Labor Organization, held in Cairo and attended by 21 Arab countries, Al-Mutairi said Arab countries have put in place mechanisms for constructive social dialogue between production parties on the Arab level.
He regretted that the Covid-19 crisis has wreaked havoc on the labor of unorganized sectors, marginalized categories and unofficial economies.
He lauded the Arab League's keenness on partaking in the organization's activities as part of its unyielding struggle to address challenges the Arab world is facing.
Stressing inter-Arab cooperation and partnership, the ALO's chief said that several online workshops and seminars were held to discuss how to achieve sustainable development goals and revamp Arab response to any exceptional circumstances in the future. (Pick up previous)
