Turkish president shows gratitude to countries support with battling wildfires


(MENAFN) The Turkish president showed gratitude to countries and organizations that reinforced Turkey's combat with wildfires that have hit Turkey for seven days.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan tweeted “I thank on my nation’s behalf all the friendly countries and organizations that have extended their support, sent wishes and condolences, voiced their readiness to help, and provided aid in our fight against the forest fires.”

Erdogan also said “We will Inshallah overcome these difficult times as soon as possible.”

The image he shared with the tweet take account of flags of 73 countries and 10 global firms.

Erdogan showed appreciation to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as Spanish Prime Minister Spain Pedro Sanchez, for offering maintenance from the beginning of the accident.

He continued “I would like to express my gratitude to our neighbor Iran's President Ebrahim Raeisi, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim (bin Hamad Al-Thani), Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski for their strong solidarity.”
