Saudi King affirms keenness on pilgrims' safety


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, July 20 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz on Tuesday affirmed keenness on safety of the pilgrims and preventing the novel coronavirus from spreading any further with a series of regulatory and preventive measures during the hajj.
Official Saudi Press Agency quoted the monarch as addressing Eid Al-Adha greetings to the pilgrims, security personnel, citizens, residents of the kingdom and the whole Muslim nation.
The has affirmed that the hajj authorities have applied electronic systems to minimize dependence on personnel reaffirming keenness on protecting the devotees against infections with the novel coronavirus (covid-19).
The kingdom has succeeded in boosting the community immunity by providing 22 million doses of the anti-covid vaccines to citizens and residents, the king said. (end)
