Tureky, Azerbaijan ink ‘Shusha Declaration’ to enhance defense collaboration


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Jun. 15 Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated he is pinning hope for regional peace on a six-nation policy including Turkey, Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia.

Erdogan arrived at Azerbaijan previously on Tuesday on an official stay.

"We are willing to make all kinds of sacrifices. Mr. Putin as well. ... With the steps to be taken in this regard, the region will become a peace zone," stated Erdogan in a joint news meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in Azerbaijan's Shusha city.

Turkish President noted that Karabakh would regain its previous admiration and self-identity and that there is no doubt regarding it.
